The premise of my practice has always been to help find the cause (or causes) of a person’s symptoms. Years ago, I saw a patient who had been suffering from multiple debilitating symptoms for many years. He had seen multiple conventional and functional doctors without ever receiving a diagnosis. In his stack of lab results was a Lyme test. He never knew the results because the ordering physician was unsure how to interpret the results. At that moment I decided on two things; One, I was going to figure out what his results meant and whether or not his symptoms were related, and two, I would be the last doctor he had to see to help him get well.
I have always been interested in the environmental causes of illness, and tick-borne infections were an extension of that. My practice is dedicated to helping people with Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections, mold illness, chronic fatigue, digestive dysfunction, immune dysregulation, and chronic pain syndromes – and how they can all be interrelated. I am a member of the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS) and the International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI) – associations that are committed to being at the forefront of tick-borne and environmentally-acquired illness. I am also a member of the National Association of Environmental Medicine (NAEM), Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA).
I have made it my mission to attempt to understand the complexities of the imbalances that occur from these conditions and exposures. I want to share that information with you here to help reduce the unnecessary suffering that arises from a lack of awareness.
