The goal of my practice has always been to help find the cause (or causes) of patients’ symptoms. Years ago, I saw someone who had been suffering from multiple debilitating symptoms for many years. He had seen many conventional and functional doctors without a diagnosis that explained all of his symptoms. His stack of lab results contained a Lyme test, but he never discussed the results with the ordering physician. At that moment, I decided two things; One, I was going to figure out if Lyme disease could be the cause of his symptoms, and two, I would be the last doctor he had to see to help him get well.
I had always been interested in the environmental causes of illness, and tick-borne infections were an extension of that. My practice is dedicated to helping people with Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections, mold illness, mast cell activation syndrome, chronic fatigue, digestive dysfunction, and immune dysregulation – and how they can all be interrelated. I am a member of the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS), the International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI), and the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) – associations that are committed to being at the forefront of tick-borne and environmentally-acquired illness. I am also a member of the National Association of Environmental Medicine (NAEM), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA).
I have made it my mission to understand the complexities and interrelatedness of chronic infections, environmental exposures, and associated conditions. I want to share that information with you to help reduce the unnecessary suffering that arises from a lack of awareness.
